Make an In Memoriam Gift

Making a gift to Seva Canada is a special way to celebrate the life of a friend or loved one.

All gifts made in memoriam will go towards restoring sight and preventing blindness for the world's poorest people. Even small gifts make a huge difference in people's lives. A $50 gift will fully fund at cataract surgery and restore the sight of a blind person, free that person's caregivers and help break the cycle of poverty.

When you make an in memoriam donation, we will send a beautiful tribute card with a special message to the next of kin to notify them of your gift. The card will be personalized and can include a special message from you.

We are here to assist you with your donation. Seva staff will talk you through options and help you customize your memorial donation. Tax receipts are issued for all donations.

You can choose to create a page in support of Seva's general programs and areas of greatest need or or you can choose a specific country program where you would like in memoriam gifts to be directed.

How it works

STEP 1: Register and set a fundraising goal for your page.

STEP 2: Edit your page to add your own photo and personal message.

STEP 3: Share the URL link to your page with friends and family by email and social media like Facebook and Twitter.

STEP 4: You will receive an email notification each time someone makes a gift.

STEP 5: If you wish to have a short and personalized link for the page, email Heather Wardle at fundraising@seva.ca and she can create one for you immediately.
