This page is a chance for you to get to know a bit more about some of the groups and individuals who help a small organization do great things.
BCCEIO - British Columbia Centre for Epidemiologic & International Ophthalmology British Columbia Centre for Epidemiologic & International Ophthalmology International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness - IAPB Seva Canada is a member of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) established in 1975 as a coordinating, umbrella organization to lead international efforts in blindness prevention activities. Its first major achievement was to promote the establishment of a WHO program for prevention of blindness, with which it has remained strongly linked, and which is now embodied in the global initiative, VISION 2020: The Right to Sight. Kilimanjaro Center for Community Ophthalmology - KCCO KCCO is Seva's partner in eastern Africa. Founded with Seva support in 2001, the Kilimanjaro Center for Community Ophthalmology is based in Moshi, Tanzania and with Seva's help now provides eye care throughout eastern Africa.
Seva Foundation Seva Foundation is our sister organization based in Berkeley, California founded in 1979.
VISION 2020 VISION 2020 is the global initiative for the elimination of avoidable blindness, a joint program of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) with an international membership of NGOs, professional associations, eye care institutions and corporations.
The Canadian International Development Agency - CIDA CIDA has been a major supporter of Seva Canada's work since we were founded in 1982. In May 2011, a new 5-year funding agreement was signed between Seva Canada and CIDA in support of Seva's eye care programs in Nepal, Tanzania, Malawi and Madagascar. Through CIDA funding there have been huge successes in global eye care, perhaps most clearly through the support of Aravind Eye Care System and the creation of Aurolab in India. Aurolab manufactures high-quality, low-cost intraocular lenses so that the world's poor can now receive the same standard of cataract care as those in the developed world and are no longer forced to wear thick glasses that may be lost or broken. Aurolab products are exported to 120 countries around the world and accounts for a total of 7.8% of global share of intraocular lenses. Community Initiatives (formerly the Wild Rose Foundation) Seva Canada is grateful to the Alberta Government's Community Initiatives Program (CIP) for their International Development Grants to our eye care programs.

His work has been published in both national and international magazines including The New York Times, The New Yorker and Camera Arts.
