Seva Canada is honoured to be featured on The Life You Can Save’s list of Best Charities for Highly Effective Giving.  The Life You Can Save is an organization whose mission is to change the culture of giving in affluent countries while dramatically raising annual donations to highly impactful non-profits that reduce suffering and premature death for people living in extreme poverty. The organization is founded by Peter Singer and advances the ideas in his 2009 book, The Life You Can Save: Acting Now to End World Poverty.

The Life You Can Save’s list is comprised of 20 non-profit organizations addressing global poverty by performing innovative and cost-effective work to bring medical services, vital nutrients and economic opportunities to people living in extreme poverty. The list is put together by a Panel of Experts, including authorities in economics, ethics, non-profit management and business. The Panel aggregates the best research from outside sources and adds additional scrutiny to consolidate their list.
