Dear Donors,
Sight is more than the ability to see; it can be the foundation for safety, independence, and opportunity. It can also be the difference between moving through the world with confidence or being held back by barriers you can’t navigate.
Recently, I’ve been thinking about Anjali, a 14-year-old Seva Canada patient from Nepal. Until last year, she could only see objects a few inches from her face; everything beyond that was a blur. School was a daily struggle, and she couldn’t move around safely without help. She didn’t realize that others saw the world differently.
Then donors like you opened the door to possibility. Her teacher was trained to recognize vision problems and referred her for care. Anjali and her mother walked for hours to reach the eye hospital, where she received a pair of strong prescription glasses— allowing her to see clearly for the first time.
Today, Anjali carries herself with new confidence. Her journey is just beginning, and she now knows she has a future that reaches far beyond the few inches in front of her face.
Sight doesn’t just restore vision; it creates potential. It opens doors to education, community, and work. It means caring for yourself and others. It means more possible futures unfolding in front of you.
This newsletter celebrates sight and possibility. Inside, you’ll find stories of donors who make change possible, volunteers who give their time and expertise, and programs that bring life-changing care to people in need. Each story shows how sight ignites the spark of potential.
You’ve helped give Anjali opportunities she never knew were possible—and there are so many more children like her. In a world full of uncertainty, I’m so grateful that you support Seva Canada to create the chance for better futures ahead. Anything is possible.
With gratitude,

Liz Brant Executive Director
