This year, Seva Canada hosted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) virtually, bringing our global community together online. On November 5, 2025, donors, international program partners, and guests from around the world joined us on Zoom for a presentation focused on how Seva Canada is growing and expanding — thanks to your generous support.

The meeting opened with a warm welcome from Board Co-Chair Marty Spencer and Vice Chair Harinder Dhillon, followed by the approval of the 2024 AGM minutes.

Executive Director Liz Brant shared a moving patient story about Emsek and Kaut Laum, a husband and wife in Cambodia who both received life-changing cataract surgery thanks to Seva Canada donors. Program Director Katie Judson then highlighted the impact of our work over the past year, including the launch and growth of new programs in Peru, India, Tanzania, and Cambodia.

We were also honoured to hear from special guest Alberto Lazo, Executive Director of Clínica Oftalmológica Divino Niño Jesús, who spoke about the incredible work Seva Canada supporters are making possible in Peru and the transformative difference it’s making in patients’ lives.

The evening concluded with a financial presentation by our auditor, Angela Santori of RHN Chartered Professional Accountants, who reviewed key highlights from Seva Canada’s fiscal year ending June 30, 2025. The year closed with net assets of $2.706 million, and RHN was reappointed as Seva Canada’s auditor for another year.
